Inspiration I Marie Curie: intelligence and competence

We love to think big. The Curie bag is a carriers dream. We have embraced our inner 9 year old’s and the dream of a bag to actually live in. This bag is made out of beautiful calf leather and cow suede and it is made to last for a long time.

We chose to name this piece after Marie Curie who has paved the way for women (everybody!) through being a great scientist. Her work in scientific research is still of great importance and she is a true symbol for female intellectuality and power. Curie was one of the 1900th centuries most eminent scientists and won the Nobel price – not one but twice! When her husband died in an accident, the French government offered Curie a pension which she declined with the argument that what she needed was not a pension but a laboratory, she wanted to work.
In a time when intellectuals in Poland was a targeted group she chose to study and to follow her heart. She knew that women and men has the same intellectual conditions which is still a position we must guard.
